Mihika

Hi, I'm Mihika, Founder and CEO of DewDropHues.

I was born in Jaipur, India, and grew up as an Army kid, so home was never just one place for me. It was something we created again and again — in new cities, new houses, and new surroundings. Some of my warmest memories are of doing that with my mother: wandering through local markets, discovering beautiful textiles, and bringing home little pieces that made each space feel familiar, lived-in, and ours.

That instinct — to make a home feel personal, warm, and full of character — stayed with me.

Through college, work, and countless conversations with my mother, the idea of creating something of my own kept returning. Sometimes it was a fabric I couldn't stop thinking about, sometimes a sketch, and sometimes simply the feeling that our homes should reflect who we are — not a trend, not a template, and not someone else's idea of perfection.

After moving to the United States, that thought only grew stronger. I found myself drawn to small businesses that felt thoughtful, personal, and full of soul. Eventually, I decided to step away from my 9-to-5 and give that long-held idea a life of its own.

That became DewDropHues.

The name is deeply personal to me. Mihika means "dewdrop," and Hues represents the color, artistry, and textile traditions that have always inspired me.

Today, DewDropHues brings together bedding, textiles, and everyday objects rooted in Indian craft and made for contemporary homes. I look for pieces that feel expressive, easy to live with, and full of character — things that bring warmth, color, and texture into the everyday.

At its heart, DewDropHues is still about the same thing it was from the beginning: creating a home that feels like yours.
